Dialing Up with Windows XP

Since Windows 98, Microsoft has adopted a slightly different method of setting up dial-up accounts. Windows XP uses a completely different connection wizard than previous versions of Windows, but it requires less tweaking.

Get Connected

This is the first wizard.

Close all programs and click My Computer from your Desktop.

Select My Network Places on the left.

Now, you should see Network Tasks to the left. Click on View Network Connections.

From Network Tasks on the left, select Create New Connection

Now a Wizard should pop up. Just click the Next button
